You snooze, you loose.
Well, I managed to procrastinate my way into missing the Boston/Portsmouth air show this weekend. The web site says that there are tickets available but when you go the area that says buy tickets, you find that you can only buy them at "the door" Saturday and Sunday. Looking further there is an indication that the door tickets are sold out though it does not say that exactly in that way. In any event, I am going down anyway to see if I can get in. It has happened the last couple years but it would be a shame if they stopped doing it.

Tickets? Is there a price on the air now? Come on, I bet with a city like Boston, you can probably find somewhere with a decent view of the action that doesn't have its hand out for money. The airshow here in Ft. Lauderdale never had tickets, we just understood that we should patronize the vendors to some extent once we were there. That meant about $20 in beer and another $15 for a T-shirt. The time we got the table by the "window" at the open-air Hooters was probably the best one. Three floors up, it seemed like The Blue Angels were going by at eye level. I hope you manage to get a good view and some nice pictures!

Hey Bro, notice anything legally actionable in this part of their disclaimer? I sure do! It's part of the short but intense letter I'm working on for you. Do you have a lawyer? This won't make a big splash, but you know on BL how sometimes they meet in office and agree on a settlement to avoid court costs? You could come away with a few grand if you sue them. 25k is a common figure in BL for this "avoid a trial" type thing. I'll have that letter polished up in a few days, but then you'll definitely get a response. Want to try to sue first? At least you'll get a representative in front of you for a good dose of your situation and opinion.
Do you think I could score more than the attorney fees? In the end do you think it is worth the time? I certainly appreciate you looking into it so deeply. I think the one aspect of the game that was the most important (guild) has been solved through the creation of the blogs. Indeed we are liberated.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of liberation, I am blogging right now from Barns and Noble, drinking a coffee, and blogging on free wifi. This is so cool! I love getting out amongst people and loosing myself in the internet. ROFLMAO.
