We arrived mid day and got to see a good part of the park. Pictures really do not do it justice. I had a chance to hike down Bright Angel Trail. I did not hike down the entire 7 miles you understand, but far enough to get some good pictures from inside the canyon. All kinds of good scenery. I will post some more pictures on FB.

ReplyDeleteI'm afraid you were scooped on this story, Brian. Earlier today, the headlines read "Grand Canyon Temporarily Filled In". Sept. 2 2010 The Grand Canyon was filled in today for approximately half an hour while a New England man went inside for a few photos. Evidently unavailable for interview, the man was belligerent and responded with a stream of obscenities when approached for questions. At one point he unearthed a nearby electrical box and sent it whirling over the heads of the camera crew. Park officials have been put on alert.
